About the Role

Key Areas of Responsibility:
You will be responsible for the daily running of kitchen activities under the direction of our Location Manager, producing top quality food in a timely fashion. Your key areas of responsibility will include:
• Ensuring safety and sanitation practices
• Maintaining readiness of kitchen utensils and equipment
• Follow direction from the kitchen & premises management with regards to food prep, cooking and next day ordering
• Communicate effectively with management and waiting staff
• Produce and present food to a consistently high level in a fast-paced environment
• Adapt recipes to customers’ needs
• Use supplies in chronological order
• Discard out of date food and record wastage
• Ensure kitchen stock levels are maintained under the direction of the Management
• Comply with all food hygiene regulations and complete all daily paperwork
• Actively keep the kitchen clean and hygienic throughout the day and when closing
• Pot washing & helping the pot wash complete their duties
In addition to the above, the post holder will be expected to carry out any reasonable task which falls within the scope and purpose of the post, or which the Company deems is within their capabilities.
Salary: £10 - £12.21 depending on age
Requirements
Previous kitchen experience handling & cooking food
An understanding of health & hygiene regulations to a level 2 standard
Driving licence or the ability to commute to Beaulieu
Experience with hot cooking equipment and how to maintain them

We are looking for an enthusiastic Chef to join our kitchen team! The Beaulieu Bakehouse is now part of the already popular Pallets Tea & Coffee House family and both shine within its beautiful New Forest surroundings. This role will require you to work closely with other chefs on your level and our kitchen management team, to ensure smooth running of the kitchen whilst keeping to our high-quality food standards.
